Fire pits and fireplaces are as much a focal point as a the grill area. This is the place where people tend to gather and is a comfort point in any landscape design. Anderson Landscapes has designed and constructed a number of different fire structures. The most common fire structures are made of natural stone with firebrick liner. Fireplaces are the most technical and require more materials and time to construct. Firepits can be countersunk into the ground or raised approximately 18" to 2’ above patio level. Elevated firepits are the most common form of construction in the Austin area. Other material choices are available such as stucco/block, pavers or man made verneer.
